Senior Programmer/Analyst

Currently employed in a small MIS Department developing in-house applications using Pick/Universe, Visual Basic, Universe Objects, Unix Shell Scripts, some C, Pascal, PCIRL and scripting languages (Procomm Aspect, Reach Out).  Developed many business applications including Order Entry Processing Systems, Billing Systems, Communications Software, EDI, Automated Time & Attendance software and many more. Also extensive PC/Network admin/troubleshooting on all platforms of  Windows and Novell 3.12.  'Employee of the Year' 2000.

Managed three programmers through all phases of developing new applications and maintaining existing software.  Trained programmers in all aspects of Pick Programming & the Pick O/S. Completed a successful migration from a McDonnell Douglas Series 18 Mainframe to a Sun Sparc 1000 System on a Unix Platform running Reality 4.1D.

 Also created and maintained hundreds of applications in Pick Basic and PROC.  These include utilities to manage/update inventory, POS, AP and distribution, assorted reports, implement office automation, handled system maintenance and remote communications.  Additionally, handled  some AREV and Novell Network and Help Desk support.

As Computer Training Supervisor, provided ongoing computer software training for employees.  This position also entailed providing system backup and file management on a Honeywell DPS 6 mainframe system as well as writing applications programs in Pick Basic.  During my time at AHF, I became very proficient at writing programs in Pick Basic and working in PROC, RECALL/ENGLISH and mastering Pick System Concepts.  Earlier, as a shift supervisor, I was responsible for managing a department of telephone interviewers.
