The next logical step would have
been to tackle Dreamweaver MX, but it turns that it wouldn't contribute toward
my degree requirements. For Fall 2003, I am studying "Internet
Programming", a course on server-side programming and "Internet
Concepts". Internet Programming turned out to be the latest ASPX.net.
Would have preferred Perl but that is perceived to be dying, though I'll bet it
will be in use server side for years. There is no sane reason to re-tool a
perfectly working client-server setup! |

also offers a Macromedia Certificate program in Dreamweaver, Flash &
Fireworks that I may take in the spring 2004 -- or I may take the 3 credit
Dreamweaver there even though it does not contribute to my degree. Update: Had to drop Dreamweaver,
had surgery, wasn't back to myself for awhile. Too many absences....
Summer 2004
I took Business Math Online
and got a B+. This is part of 3 more courses I need for an E-Commerce
Certificate at BCC, the others are: E-Marketing, Internet Law, Entrepreneurship
(Fall 2004).
Now to also get a Webmaster Degree in
addition to my IT AAS, I needAlso probably going to take an on-line
multi-media course at Morris County Community
College and 2 more classes, Technical Writing (boring!) and a single credit
course TBD
So as it stands, I'm shooting for 2 certifications at once, taking courses for
free as they become available.
