Well I decided to get into the forum thing and launched a Yahoo Forum (one of 100,000,000,000 no doubt). The name of the forum is Web Q and A as you might have guessed. It would be ideal if this forum became a place for those interested in Web Design at any level to both learn new things and impart their own knowledge where required. I kept the title general in the hope of having a very free-form place where any question can be entertained. Over the years, I have grown tired of moderators who yank posts because of their own subjective feeling that this post is slightly 'off topic'. I also don't like seeing posters chastised for not using whatever currently passes for proper 'netiquette'. I'd like for folks to not feel intimidated in this forum. Smirking and condescending administrators are becoming less and less cool in every computer environment. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/WebQA

History Corner
Missed the boat during the early, halcyon days of the Internet, trying to play "catch up" now. Not that I wasn't early as an internet user. Before most heard of the web in 1993, I joined on-line service Delphi which promised access to the new "Information Highway". At that time, I connected with a dumb terminal and a 2400 baud modem using the SX command set. Should have picked up that this was the start of something big and bought some AOL stock or something.... |
